PERFORM METAL SCAFFOLD ERECTION

Course Overview

In line with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act 2006, anyone involved in metal scaffold erection in the building and construction industry must complete the Metal Scaffold Erector Course and obtain certification. This course is designed to ensure safety and compliance on the job.


Who Can Join?

To enroll in this course, you’ll need to meet the following requirements:

  • Be physically fit and at least 18 years old.
  • Have a basic understanding of English.
  • Wear appropriate safety attire, including safety shoes (strictly no singlets, shorts, or bermudas).
  • Commit to 100% attendance to complete the course successfully.

What You’ll Learn

This course provides hands-on training and essential knowledge in:

  • Introduction to Metal Scaffolding: Understanding its purpose, structure, and safety requirements.
  • Ties and Braces: Learning the role of ties and braces in scaffold stability.
  • Static and Mobile Towers: Familiarizing yourself with these types of scaffolds and their applications.
  • Erection and Dismantling of Scaffolds: Gaining practical skills to assemble and safely take down scaffolds.

Assessments

To earn your certification, you’ll need to pass two assessments:

  • Written Assessment:
    • Duration: 1 hour
    • Format: 40 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
    • Passing Score: 60%
  • Practical Assessment:
    • Duration: 7 hours
    • Grading: Based on a Competent/Not Yet Competent evaluation.
