WORKPLACE SAFETY AND HEALTH MANAGEMENT IN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

Course Overview

This course is designed for Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Coordinators or Supervisors, equipping you with the skills needed to supervise effectively at construction sites or in construction-related environments.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Understand and explain key WSH legislations and other important requirements specific to the construction industry.
• Recognize the duties and responsibilities of a supervisor in ensuring safety on construction sites.
• Assist in safety and health planning and organize safety measures at the worksite.
• Identify WSH hazards, evaluate associated risks, and apply risk management processes to control them effectively.
• Perform WSH inspections in line with your organization's inspection procedures.
• Conduct an incident investigation and create detailed reports in line with legal and organizational requirements.

Pre-requisites

To ensure the best learning experience, participants are advised to have at least ES WPLN Level 4 or equivalent. Without this level of proficiency, the course may be more challenging.

Note: Participants are advised to have WPLN Level 4 or higher to ensure they can fully understand and engage with the course content.

Certificate of Completion

Participants who meet at least 75% attendance and pass the required assessments will receive a Certificate of Completion from Learncollab.

Assessments

To successfully complete the course, you’ll need to pass the following:

• Written Assessment:

  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Format: 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
  • Passing Score: 65%

• Practical Perfomance Assessment:

  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Evaluation: Competent/Not Yet Competent basis
